When first struck with the idea for Purple, The Dragon, Sharon Chan shared the concept with her husband, Guillermo, who happens to be the founder of a successful animation, design, and illustration studio, Broken Pencil Studios. Together, they have worked to bring the Purple, The Dragon vision to life.
Having a full animation studio as “part of the team”, the vision for Purple, The Dragon has grown from a simple poem to a fully articulated brand designed to help educate children about understanding and accepting their emotions.
Broken Pencil Studios has nurtured the vision of Purple into the creation of the first book for publication, as well as the complete creative development of the entire Purple, The Dragon world. Present from the start, Broken Pencil Studios has the knowledge and the expertise to fully develop and articulate the Purple, The Dragon brand across all mediums. The team has visions for an extended book series, a short film, and an animated series. Purple, The Dragon will be able to grow without relying on external creative talent.
